Did you quilt this on a long arm? Free motion?

I made up your Urban 9 patch Deco block as a table runner and am trying to figure out how to quilt it. I don’t have a long arm machine.

Hi Claudia! I wish I could say I quilted this on my home machine but I actually had it quilted by Nancy Stovall, a professional longarmer who has a studio in SE Portland. I had a hard time deciding how to quilt my Urban Deco table runner so I did quite a bit of stitching in the ditch and then quilted some leaves in the 9-patches. Jenny Pedigo, the designer of the Urban Deco block (now renamed Urban Tiles), has photos on her website of quilting she has done on quilts containing the Urban 9-Patch. Her website is sewkindofwonderful.com. She is a professional longarmer who tends to quilt very densely. Beautiful work! I think you could go either way with your Urban Deco table runner. Would love to see pics when you are finished!
Thank you Dawn. I went to Jenny’s website and saw her beautiful long arm quilting. I think I can translate some of that into my free motion short arm quilting. I am thinking about someday getting the Handi Quilter Sweet 16 machine that I might possibly be able to make room for in my quilting room since a traditional long arm won’t fit.
I hope to take another of your classes someday at the Pine Needle.
